Earlier this month, the iconic mobile brand Nokia launched its much-awaited feature phone Nokia 3310 in India. While the company confirmed that it’ll bring the other Nokia smartphones — Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 in India, the dates for the same weren’t confirmed.
Now, the company has confirmed the launch dates of its smartphones in the Indian market. The Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and Nokia 3, running on the Android operating system, will be available from June 15.
As of the specs, the Nokia 6 has a 5.5 inch Full HD IPS display and is powered by a Snapdragon 430 processor. It comes in two options — 3GB and 4GB RAM and 32GB and 64GB internal storage. Both the variants can have additional storage up to 128GB via microSD card. The 16 MP rear shooter has PDAF feature and an 8MP snapper at front. It runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS out of the box.
On the other hand, the Nokia 5 sports a 5.2 inch HD IPS screen, and this one too runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS out of the box. With an option of 2GB RAM and 16GB storage, the device will be clocking in an octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor. As of optics, you get 13 MP shooter at the back and an 8MP front camera.
The Nokia 3, the most economical model among the three, has a 5 inch HD IPS LCD screen and runs on a quad-core MediaTek MT 6737 chipset with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt memory. It has an 8MP shooter on the back and the same 8MP shooter in the front. This one too runs Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box with OTG support and 4G LTE.
While Nokia launched its feature phone Nokia 3310 via offline stores channel only, there is no such information available regarding the three smartphones. Although pricing of the smartphones remains unknown, some reports suggest that the Nokia 6 will be priced below Rs. 20,000, while the Nokia 5 will be priced under Rs. 15,000. The Nokia 3, cheapest among them, will cost below Rs. 10,000. But, we’ll have to wait till the official launch announcement to be certain of the pricing.
