With the growing consumption of media and content on the daily, we’re all aware of the storage crunch that plagues our lives. India’s state-run telecom carrier BSNL is, however, looking to end our worries by partnering with linguistic email service provider Data Xgen.

BSNL, on this Internation Women’s Day, has announced that it will be offering 100 GB of storage space to their broadband customers via select plans. This mega offer is currently being extended to women subscribers, but it will steadily be made available to all Indian citizens using BSNL’s broadband services. Mr. Anupam Shrivastava, Chairman and Managing Director, BSNL has shared broadband plans the said offer applies to:

100 GB storage space is introduced with BSNL’s two pan-India plans in free of cost. Plans offered are ‘BBG Combo ULD 680’ and ‘BBG Combo ULD 950’ to the customers on their bundled email service. Anyone availing these two plans is going to get a FREE email address with 100 GB storage space.

Currently, BSNL has been offering a limited storage space of just 1 GB to its broadband customers. This is even less when compared to prominent email service providers like Gmail or Outlook. But the telecom giant has partnered with Jaipur-based Data Xgen to provide its broadband customers with a new linguistic address with the said free 100 GB storage space. But, there is a catch.

Under this offer, BSNL broadband customers will easily be able to access linguistic email address service offered by BSNL and Data XGen jointly on DataMail app. The linguistic email service being offered by BSNL will provide you with a dataone.bharat domain as well as an email address. And email addresses hosted on this domain will be provided with 100 GB storage space along with the new email address. The said linguistic email service was launched in December and is already live on the DataMail app.

Talking about the launch, Dr. Ajay Data, founder and CEO of Data XGen Technologies said,

BSNL has always led the new initiatives in India and offering 100GB storage space is another historical moment for the country. A made in India, DataMail app has empowered Indian citizens to interact in their own language through linguistic email address service and now with the DataRadio social media feature it has established a troll-free and non-abusive medium to reach out the mass audience.

And if you’re unfamiliar with the DataMail app, then you should know that it will enable you to create your email address in about eight regional languages. These include Hindi, Gujarati, Urdu, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, and Marathi. Still, that’s not all. Data Xgen is steadily vying to expand the reach of its innovative linguistic email platform internationally. It has already taken a first step in the said direction by launching email id creation in Arabic, Russian and Chinese languages.
