PlanMyMedicalTrip, an online platform which offers international patients access to medical care at competitive prices, has today announced that it has raised Rs. 1.25 crore in its seed funding round from Bhanu Vikram Parsotam, Rohan Desai and Paras Patel.

With fresh capital influx in the company, it is now looking forward to expand its reach to countries that are rich with prospects for medical tourism such as Thailand, UAE, Brazil and Germany.

Commenting about the investment, Bhanu Vikram Parsotam said,

I have been a part of the healthcare sector in the USA for close to two decades now. So, I am familiar with patient requirements here and strongly believe that PlanMyMedicalTrip.com is doing the right thing at the right time. Together with the PlanMyMedicalTrip.com representatives, I’m positive that we will be able to boost healthcare facilities across the globe.

Founded in 2012 by Anurav Rane, PlanMyMedicalTrip.com combines healthcare, tourism and e-commerce. It provides solution for anyone who is looking for affordable medical services and necessary infrastructure at hospitals that best address the patient’s concern.

The portal is said to be simple for a patient who is looking for specialised treatments to choose a hospital and doctor who best understands his/her needs. The company also claims to have 1500+ tie-ups with reputed hospitals and doctors in India and Turkey. Since the company’s formation, it has successfully treated over 3,000 patients.

The Pune-based startup aspires to capture 15% market of the thriving medical tourism that is expected to reach $8 billion by 2020. It also aims to establish tie-ups with all hospitals across India along with making inroads into other potential medical tourism destinations.

Talking about this funding round, Anurav Rane, founder and CEO of the company, said,

Even though our team strictly adheres to the company’s growth strategy to achieve its goals, this funding will help us serve our customers even better. It will also assist us in keeping our energies focused on our philosophy of ‘Humanity is the only religion’.
