Singtel subscribers have always had the choice to add 1GB to 4GB data to the existing plan through the DataMore option. Announced at PC Show 2016, the company has upsized the Add-On package up to a massive 50GB. Singtel hopes the new options will be attractive to families, as the mobile data allowance can be shared among multiple users.

The plan will be available from 2nd June to 10th June at PC Show 2016 with a promotional price of S$5.35 per GB and S$8.56 per GB per month afterwards.

Ms Diana Chen, Vice President of Mobile Marketing, Consumer Singapore, Singtel, said,

Our customers want more data for less, and that’s exactly what they’ll get with the new supersized DataMore bundles. The flexibility to share the bundles with family and loved ones allows them to enjoy even greater cost savings at the most affordable rates.

The 50 GB data add-on costs S$321 a month and is the biggest mobile data plan in Singapore so far. The company’s competitor M1 currently offers a data add-on of up to 10GB for S$69.55, while Starhub offers up to 3GB for S$25.68. The target of the various telecoms will be to offer affordable data plans coupled with maximum Gigabytes offered.

To share their DataMore bundles, customers can simply subscribe to Singtel’s MobileShare Supplementary plan. The plan allows customers to add up to three nominees or devices for greater savings.

Singtel mentioned in its press release.

You can add up to 3 SIM cards to share your plan with at S$10.70 per SIM, and get an extra 500MB each. Though, unlike the flexibility of the SIM only plan, you will have to commit to a year at least and only Combo subscribers need apply.
