Poco F1 Armored Edition

Earlier this year, Xiaomi launched a new sub-brand named Pocophone (Poco in India) and also launched the first smartphone under this brand, dubbed Poco F1. It went on sale in India a couple of months ago.

Along with the standard Poco F1, the company had also launched the Poco F1 Armored Edition which comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Unlike the regular model, the Armored Edition comes with a Kevlar back.

Now, the latest development suggests that the company is soon planning to launch two new variants of the Poco F1 Armored Edition — one with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage and another with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. We are also expecting the pricing of the upcoming models of the Armored Edition to be slightly higher than the regular ones.

Currently, the Poco F1 is the most affordable smartphone powered by Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 845 processor — the same chipset that powers most of the flagship smartphones launched this year. The phone features a 6.18-inch IPS Full HD+ display with 18.7:9 aspect ratio.

It comes with a 12MP + 5MP dual camera setup on the back with several AI-based features and a 20MP AI front-facing camera for taking selfies and video calling, which also supports IR Face Unlock feature. The phone runs on MIUI with Poco Launcher, based on Android Oreo OS. The device is powered by a 4,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 4 fast charging support.
