India figures pretty high on the to-do list of world’s biggest video streaming service, YouTube. With good reason of course, considering the hundreds of million (and growing) internet user, who are eager to consume any and all content available on the world wide web. The company is opening up a brand new pop up space in the country, and after Hyderabad, has chosen the Indian capital as the location for it’s second physical space.

Similar to the Hyderabad space, YouTube’s newest physical location will give content creators access to superior facilities. Free offerings available for utilization by video creators will include cutting edge production equipment, themed production sets, and much more. YouTube also wants to create a community of creators, and these pop-up stores will play a crucial role in it’s plan — allowing budding creators to find mentors, and creating a venue for collaboration.

The space will also host various events and workshops that will be aimed towards grooming content creators.

Speaking at the event, Marc Lefkowitz, Head of YouTube Creator and Artist Development, APAC said,

It’s an incredibly exciting and inspiring time to be in India, especially for video content. Over 245 million unique users are coming to YouTube in India every month, and they  continue to love and engage with the content that creators are putting out. In 2014, we had 16 YouTube channels with more than 1 million subscribers in India and today that number is over 300.  We’re adding two more channels to the list almost every single week, which is an astounding rate of growth. We continue to invest heavily in growing and nurturing the creator community and are thrilled to bring the YouTube Pop-Up Space to the capital.

YouTube also took the occasion to announce the launch of the NextUp Creator Camp in Delhi. The camp will introduce creators to some of the bigwigs of the production industry, and receive tips about how to improve things like camera work, lighting, sound, and scripts.

The Delhi Pop-Up Space is situated at Kingdom of Dreams, Gurgaon. You can learn more about it by clicking this link.
