Post the unveiling of a revamped brand entity, Yatra has been moving towards two major goals — scouting for fresh investors and the expansion of its business. In lieu of the same, the travel portal has now launched a new service called ‘Yatra service assurance’ for its customers. With this service, customers will be able to book customized packages offering a luxury travel experience.

Apart from providing high-end products and services, a special assistance team will be available for help 24 x 7. Other benefits under the ‘service assurance’ packages include 100% refund, cancellation fee waiver, flexible check in and check out, free in-flight meals, a seat of choice at no extra cost, free child travel, higher eCash earn and burn, instant refunds, quality transport services, and priority check-ins among others. The services listed here are either chargeable or are not taken care of by other portals in India.

Introducing the luxury packages section, Sharat Dhall, COO (B2C), Yatra.com said,

Over the past few years we have observed a surge in travellers booking holiday packages and we are confident that the introduction of ‘Yatra Service Assurance’ will benefit the customers and transform the way holiday bookings are made.

With Yatra’s service assurance feature, the company believes that it is providing customer value proposition in the online travel space. These services are unique in themselves and an innovative customized package will disrupt the travel sector in the country. Yatra will offer a two nights/three days holiday voucher to customers which could be availed within next 2-3 months of their travel.

In December last year, Yatra started trading on Nasdaq under symbol YTRA after completing its merger with Terrapin 3 acquisitions, making it the second online travel venture to make its debut on Nasdaq, almost seven years after MakeMyTrip went public in the US. The portal presently competes against the combined entity of MakeMyTrip and ibibo.
