If you have been waiting to get your hands on the Pixel phones from Google, then your wait is now over. The company’s recently launched smartphones — Google Pixel and Pixel XL will be available for purchase starting today.
The devices will be available on Flipkart as well as across more than 1000 organised and multi-brand retail stores which includes Bajaj Electronics, Croma, Ezone, Jumbo, Poorvika, Reliance Digital, Sangeetha and Vijay Sales, among others.
The Pixel smartphones comes with a built in Google Assistant. Users can have a natural conversation with Google to find answers or get things done on the go. The company has also used 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 4 on the front display and back glass to accent the aerospace grade aluminum body.
The glass on the back features Pixel Imprint, the fingerprint sensor, which is placed on the back of the phone. Further, the 12.3 MP rear camera and 8 MP front camera takes stunning photos in low light, bright light or any light. Google Pixel is powered by a battery that can charge up your phone for up to seven hours in just 15 minutes.
To remind you of the specifications, the Pixel houses a 5-inch Full HD AMOLED display, while the Pixel XL comes with a 5.5-inch, 2K resolution AMOLED display. Both phones are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset. The Pixel series runs on 4 GB of RAM and is available in two storage capacities – 32GB and 128 GB.
Additionally, as it is a device from Google, the Pixel comes with the newest Android operating system, Android 7.1 Nougat. The company says that the phones will get software and security updates as soon as they’re available, directly from Google.
Along with built-in Google Assistant, the devices come with a robust battery backup and unlimited cloud storage space to store all your videos and photos. The phones will also come with a bunch of add-ons, including Daydream VR-compatibility, Google Duo and more.
The Google Pixel and Pixel XL will be available in India in two colors – Quite Black and Very Silver. Pricing for these devices starts at Rs. 57,000.
