Edgefx Technologies, an online store for project solutions for the engineering students of electronics and electrical domain, has received an undisclosed amount in a round, led by Rajasthan Angel investor Network. Valuation however, as is generally the case with such rounds, remains undisclosed.

In order to provide students the best possible avenues to enhance their practical skills, founder Kamini Gupta set out to start Edgefx in 2011. The Hyderabad-based company which also has an office in the States, was born due to lack of core sector companies in the areas of electrical and electronics engineering. As per the company, it added to the challenge of providing the students the best possible ways to further enhance their practical skills.

And as the customer base skyrocketed by the end of first year, the company’s entire team of programmers, designers, and support engineers started pursuing its dream of bridging the gap between academia and the industry. They finally realized the demand+need for their project kits in the electronics sector and have since then been working on expanding their scope — both project-wise and geographically.

Currently, the company has clients in more than 20 countries across the world. It has grown to have a very strong focus on customer service and quality. It currently stocks more than 600 projects in different formats across numerous categories. Edgefx also claims to be offering the best selection of projects available anywhere.

It uses an innovative strategy framework to deliver a range of research products and services to the business and education sectors. The company’s specialty lies in the fields of designing and developing Embedded Systems, Architectural System Design and Analysis, High performance circuit board design, Networking & Communications using Embedded Systems.
