In a first of its kind offering, Niki.ai, a chat-based artificial intelligence platform has now entered the food-tech segment by partnering with LimeTray and Burger King for chat based food ordering service.

Using this newly launched service, users will now be able to chat in a casual way and order food through the same. The AI bot converses with the user to build the order, takes the address and the places the order with the restaurant through LimeTray enabled technology.

In the beginning, users will be able to chat with Niki to order either a veg combo or a non veg combo and avail special offers on the orders placed such as free burgers, cashbacks. Over time, the entire menu will be made available. In the near future, many more food outlets like Mad Over Donuts, Sagar Ratna, etc. will be able to take orders via the Niki App.

This partnership marks Niki’s entry into the food and beverages sector after facilitating cab booking, bill payments & mobile recharges. The integration is currently live with ordering enabled for all Burger King outlets in India with more than 2,000 brands to follow.

Commenting about the partnership, Piyush Jain, co-founder of LimeTray said,

This partnership is first step in giving more visibility to merchants and generate additional business by leveraging high-traffic consumer platforms. More-over chat being an upcoming transactional medium, this partnership made a lot of sense. We will be doing more such partnership in future which makes a lot of sense of our merchants.

Shishir Modi, Co-founder of Niki.ai said,

In our quest to make Niki a go-to destination (bot) for all ordering needs, we have re-defined the food ordering experience by making it interactive for consumers over chat and this would also be beneficial to LimeTray in being the generator of new experiences in food ordering.

LimeTray, founded by Akhilesh Bali and Piyush Jain, is a platform that helps restaurants run better by giving online presence, facilitating better customer engagement and optimize processes at the outlet level.

Founded in April 2015 by Shishir Modi, Sachin Jaiswal, Keshav Prawasi and Nitin Babel, Niki.ai is a bot that lets users order anything through a chat interface. The company has raised an undisclosed amount in seed funding from Ronnie Screwvala’s Unilazer Ventures.
