Facebook on Friday released its second transparent report from July 2013 to December 2013.As per the reports U.S had the most number of requests for User accounts where as India leads in asking the social networking website to censor content.

In total 3,598 requests has been made by Indian Government and asked to access around  4,711 accounts. The report says that Facebook “restricted access in India to a number of pieces of content reported primarily by law enforcement officials and the India Computer Emergency Response Team under local laws prohibiting criticism of a religion or the state.” On the other hand U.S asked for 12,598 requests and 18,715 accounts followed by United Kingdom with total of 1,906 requests.

Unfortunately, the parameters how and why these accounts information were asked is still not known.
