Asus Zenfone Max M1, Zenfone Lite L1

After the success of its Zenfone Max Pro M1 budget smartphone in India, the Taiwan-based company has today launched two new budget phones in India — Zenfone Max M1 and Zenfone Lite L1.

The Asus Zenfone Max M1 comes in Black and Gold colors for ₹7,499 during Flipkart’s Festival Dhamaka Days sale later this month. Later, the phone’s price will increase to ₹8,999. The Zenfone Lite L1, the cheaper of the two, is priced at ₹5,999 for the festive season sale and will later be available for ₹6,999. This one too comes in Black and Gold colors and will be available exclusively via Flipkart.

The Asus Zenfone Lite L1 comes in Black and Gold colors, is priced at Rs. 5999 (As a part of festive offer compared to Rs. 6999) and will be available exclusively from Flipkart during Festival Dhamaka Days sale later this month.

As the name itself suggests, the Zenfone Max M1 is the watered-down variant of the Zenfone Max Pro M1. The phone has a 5.7-inch HD+ display with 82% screen-to-body ratio, and is powered by Snapdragon 430 SoC. It packs 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage, with microSD card support up to 256GB.

For photography, the device comes equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera with an LED flash and an 8-megapixel front-facing shooter. Both camera comes with support for Portrait mode. The phone also supports Face Unlock feature and has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

It runs Android 8.0 Oreo operating system out-of-the-box with the company’s own ZenUI 5.0 on top. The device is powered by a 4,000mAh battery.

On the other hand, the Zenfone Lite L1 comes with a 5.45-inch HD+ display and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor. There’s 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, with expandable support of up to 256GB.

In terms of optics, there’s a 13-megapixel rear camera with an LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter with LED flash. The phone has only Face Unlock feature and there’s no fingerprint sensor.

The device is running Android 8.0 Oreo operating system with ZenUI 5.0. Connectivity options on the device include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n (2.4GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, and GPS. It is powered by a 3,000mAh battery.
