Ahead of its official launch, a new Nokia smartphone, currently known as Nokia 8, has been spotted on the Chinese online retailer’s website — JD.com. The phone has been listed on the site at a price tag of CNY 3188 (approx. Rs 31,880) and is up for pre-registration.

Until now, there was no information available about Nokia 8’s official launch. However, with just a couple days remaining in Mobile World Congress, this listing has made it clear that the smartphone will be launched at MWC, and will soon be available for purchase.

The Nokia 8 is said to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 processor. It will sport a 5.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED display. On the camera front, the phone is likely to feature a 24-megapixel rear camera with OIS alongside a 12-megapixel front camera.

Like most high-end devices, the Nokia 8 is also expected to be announced in two storage versions — 64GB and 128GB. Both the models are rumored to come with expandable storage support via microSD card slot (up to 256GB).

As per the rumors, the smartphone will be running on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. The phone’s listing on JD.com reveals that it will be available in two colors — Black and Grey.

Other rumours suggest that HMD Global is also expected to bring back Nokia feature phones that have nostalgia attached to them. Yes, we’re talking about the widely known Nokia 3310. The official HMD Global event is set to take place in Barcelona on Sunday and it will kick off at around 9 pm IST.

During the same event, the company is also expected to launch a slew of new smartphone devices, including a high-end Nokia P1, and two budget Nokia devices – Nokia 3 and Nokia 5.

Further, the company is also expected to globally launch Nokia 6, the smartphone touted as the comeback device for Nokia’s brand. It is likely to re-enter the Indian market with Nokia 6 smartphone in April this year.
