Twitter appears to be literally leaking employees. Barely a week or two pass before we hear about another executive exit from the social media platform. It has now been confirmed that Twitter’s VP of diversity and inclusion Jeffrey Siminoff, will bid good-bye to the company at the end of this month. It has also been revealed that its chief human resources officer Renee Atwood, has already left the company.

Both these departures are however, not related to each other in any way.

A Twitter spokesperson says:

Renee has left the company for personal reasons. We thank her for her contributions during her time at Twitter and wish her all the best in the future.

Before his stint at the social media firm, Atwood was the global head of people and places for Uber. He had joined Twitter only in August 2016.

According to some reports, CEO Jack Dorsey had also circulated a note around the company informing the employees regarding Siminoff’s decision to exit the company. It has also been reported that Siminoff is leaving the company of his own free will.

Siminoff was the director of worldwide inclusion and diversity for Apple, before he joined Twitter. He joined the platform in December 2015 as a replacement for Janet Van Huysse, for the position of vice president of diversity and inclusion. His joining did cause some raised eyebrows from people who doubted Twitter’s wisdom in hiring a white man as the best choice for a post which was responsible for introducing diversity and inclusion to the workplace.

The news of these departures rolls out immediately after Twitter’s release of its 2016 diversity report, which depicted that they were making gradual advancements in hiring employees from some under-privileged minority groups. Meanwhile, the company really needs to do something to ensure that employees — particularly those at some of the highest levels of hierarchy — stick around for longer than merely a few months.
