Multiple technologies are rapidly and concurrently evolving, each with huge potential to impact our daily lives. The world is currently in the midst of an interesting technological development phase. With an aim to get smart technologies for a better living, a two-day event named IEEE Smart Tech Workshop is being organized from November 18, 2016, in Bangalore.

This is an opportunity for all the participants to listen directly from the technical and domain leaders on the cutting edge and futuristic work they are doing and its impact. This workshop gives a complete understanding of few of the key emerging technologies, their applications and the impact they will have on the lifestyles of people and on the living spaces.

The technology aspects and developments would be discussed are around the areas of –

• Data Analytics and Engineering, covering horizontal platform aspects such as streaming, prescriptive and predictive analytics, machine learning and artificial intelligence.
• Consumer IoT with wearables and nearables, “last-mile” communications, mobile edge computing, architecture considerations for large-scale distributed systems (e.g., smart cities).

The keynote speakers for the event include Guruprasad Mudlapur (Managing Director, Bosch Automotive Electronics India), Dr. Manish Gupta (Vice President and Director, Xerox Research Center India), Somshubhro (Som) Pal Choudhury ( Managing Director, Analog Devices).
