Making major announcements during the CES 2016 Keynote address which happened yesterday, Samsung has announced that its Gear S2 smartwatch will start supporting iOS devices starting sometime this year.
The announcement however — shouldn’t be much of a surprise — considering that Gear S2 was already rumoured to get iOS device support in late 2015. And even though the support is now official, Samsung has not given a specific date for the updates to roll out. So yeah, waiting game on.
Meanwhile, the Korean giant also unfolded two new colours of the Gear S2 smartwatch –gold and platinum. Support for Samsung Pay — Samsung’s Android Pay and Apple Pay competitor — is also coming to the Gear S2, though nothing fixed has been rolled out yet.
