Toppr, a one-of-its-kind online platform which helps student prepare for India’s toughest Graduate  entrance exams, has acquired EasyPrep, a similar platform which caters to the high school segment.

Hayath further says that by April, over 3 Million questions would be practiced on Toppr’s platform, making it one of India’s biggest online test preparation platform.

This is an intelligent acquisition by Toppr. While the startup already has significant command over the Graduate entrance exams market, EasyPrep’s established back-end and decent traction in the high school and pre-high school segment would help Toppr accelerate its plans to become one of India’s most dominant players in the field.

Entrance exam preparation market for K12 students is valued at $8 Billion and growing 20% every year. In a short span, Toppr has grown to a team of over 100 members and claims to be serving over 1,50,000 students across India.

However, it is Toppr’s stronghold in Tier II and III cities, which will come a long way in making Toppr a household name in India’s otherwise immensely traditional education system. Toppr has more than 40% students are using Toppr from Tier II / III cities. This is significant, as these cities lag behind in quality of education and teaching.
