[UPDATE] Motorola announces list of devices to get Android 5.0 (Lollipop)

Motorola has been the front runner when it comes to providing latest Android updates to its customers. This time too, just hours after Google announced Android L, Motorola has announced as to which of its devices will get an update.

The timing of the update has not been announced, but Motorola has confirmed that the following devices will be receiving updates :

  • Moto X (both 1st and 2nd gen)
  • Moto G (both 1st and 2nd gen)
  • Moto E
  • Verizon’s Droid Ultra

Though Motorola has confirmed the updates, it has still not made it clear as to when these updates will start rolling. But still, expect an update by  November, because that is when the Motorola manufactured Google Nexus 6 will probably start shipping. Till then, keep checking your software update bar.


We told you yesterday, that the Nexus 6 is probably going to ship to India by November end. Well, Motorola has now announced that the Nexus 6 will be available in India, along with 28 other countries, later this year.

As for the pricing, since the US pricing of the almost doubled from $349 to $649, expect the Nexus 6 to ship in India, with a price tag of somewhere near the ₹45,000 mark.
