Lenovo-owned Motorola has been focusing more towards its budget segment and after the success of the Moto G and Moto E line-up, the company is now all set to launch Moto C series — a new lineup of entry-level smartphones.

We earlier reported that the company is working on Moto C series smartphones, based on the alleged renders of the smartphone. Now, the Moto C smartphone has been confirmed as it has just received Bluetooth certification.

The phone’s listing on the Bluetooth certification website confirms the existence of the device, and also reveals some information related to it. The listing suggests that the smartphone has codename XT1750.

The Bluetooth SIG certification reveals that the smartphone will offer Bluetooth 4.2 support. It will be powered by a MediaTek quad-core processor, but the specific chipset has not been mentioned. It will have 1GB of RAM.

The Moto C is rumored to come with a 5-inch display with 480 x 854 pixels resolution. The smartphone is likely to be available in 8GB and 16GB of onboard storage variants.

It will sport a 5-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front camera. A 2,300mAh battery is likely to power the smartphone. The connectivity options include 3G and 4G. Unlike other budget smartphones, this one is expected to be running Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box.

Along with the Moto C, there also have been rumors of a larger variant — Moto C Plus. The Plus variant is believed to have the same set of specs, but with some minor upgrades. It is said to come with 5-inch HD screen and is expected to be made available in 1GB and 2GB RAM variants along with common 16GB of onboard storage, expandable via a microSD card.

The camera gets bumped to 8-megapixel and so does the battery capacity — around 4,000mAh. The leaked renders of Moto C series suggest that it will have the same design language as the Moto G5 Plus.
