Snapchat has launched a brand new feature wherein it will allow you to create Bitmoji shortcuts for your favorite chats. The aim of this feature is to keep you from the hassle of having to sift through a ton of chats while attempting to find the one with your best buddies.
Simply select your favorite friend, create a Bitmoji widget for them, and place it upon your home screen. The best part about this whole process is that the Bitmoji widgets actually resemble your friends since they are created using their personalized avatars.
The next time you feel an urge to chat with your best buddy, simply tap the Bitmoji widget placed on the home screen and voilà! The feature started testing in Android Beta last week. However, it is now rolling out to everyone, courtesy an iOS and Android app update pushed by Snapchat.
Whell, who is betting Facebook or Instagram or WhatsApp come up with something similar? Actually, this feature isn’t exactly Snapchat’s brainchild in the first place. A lot of applications offer you the ability to create shortcuts for particular chats. However, the ability to create Bitmoji based, personalized icons is something new.
The feature is all the more relevant for Snapchat, considering that the app has a high frequency of usage among its users and as such, having Bitmoji icons right in front of their eyes will let users start chatting without having to hunt for their friends in the main app.
