Google+ is all set to receive three new updates which would be rolling out in the next few weeks. Danelle Buckley, Product Manager, Google+ announced the newest updates in her blog post.
The past one and a half years have been a transition phase for Google’s social networking platform Google+. With its remarkable performance in the initial phase of its launch, it appeared to be very promising, however, it performances sank with time. As a result, it had to undergo some major changes in November 2015. Over 50 updates were launched for iOS, Android and Google+ a whole new avatar for an enhanced user experience.
The November updates have played an important role in reviving public’s interest in Google’s very own platform Google+, which now around 111 million active users ranging from astronauts to students. Danelle Buckley, Product Manager for the platform writes about the newest updates in her blog post.
The first update is for “hiding low quality comments “which would both ease and enhance your conversations ” by hiding lower quality comments on posts, so you can focus on the comments that matter most. If you’d like to see all the comments on a post, you can always click or tap “View more comments.
The second update would hide the irrelevant white spaces of the screen to show you more of the posts that matter. The zoom features has also been added for the photographers who love posting clicks on the social media, so that their admirers could have a closer look on those pictures.
The third one is the incorporation of “Events” with the new Google+. Beginning 24 January, the users will be able to create and join events on Google+. However, this feature will now remain absent in the G Suite.
The classic Google+ would be turned down from January 24, and the new platform will completely take over with its more efficient and impressive features.
The previous major updates include addition of photos and links to the comments, approved posting in communities and image comments. The new updates are an addition to the thread which would make your experience interesting, surprising and delightful.
