Bain & Company bags the first position yet another time at the Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Awards. Being at the top spot for three times, it beats Facebook (#2) , Boston Consulting Group (#3), Google (#4) & World wide technology (#5) under the category  Best Places to Work in 2017. The awards were given based upon Glassdoor approved company reviews. These reviews were collected from U.S.-based employees between November 2, 2015 and October 30, 2016.

The awards featured two sub-categories in U.S. — 50 Best Places to Work and 50 Best Small & Medium Companies to Work For. Among the second category i.e., 50 Best small & medium Companies to Work for, Greenhouse Software secures the first place with a rating of 4.9. Other top candidates in the same category include Illuminate Education (4.9), Entelo (4.9), Sail Point Technologies (4.8) and SeatGeek (4.8).

The list of companies awarded were selected from a broad span of industries which includes technology, consulting, travel and tourism, consumer goods, retail, food services and more. Glassdoor CEO Robert Hohman, in the official press release, stated,

Company culture and the employee experience are critical considerations for job seekers everywhere when deciding where to work. To help, the Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Awards recognize companies that truly stand out as Best Places to Work because they’re purely determined by the authentic voice of those who really know a company best – the employees, We’re proud to celebrate the 2017 Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Awards winners in earning this incredible achievement.

On one hand, where Facebook rises towards the top position (#2 overall)  in tech category, Twitter, major social media platform rival could not make it to top 50 with a rating of 3.8. Last year’s winner Airbnb’s dropped to #35 position with a downfall in raings from 4.6 to 4.2.

Talking about its drop in rankings, Airbnb, told Mashable in an email,

We are constantly working to improve and expand in these areas through initiatives that foster professional development, support health and well-being, and we are expanding other benefits such as matching 401(k) contributions in 2017.

Other well-recognized companies in Tech include SAP (#15), Adobe (#9), Akamai (#25), Apple (#36) and Microsoft(#37).

Apart from Two major categories in U.S. , Glassdoor awards also featured winners in Canada, UK, France and Germany. SAP grabs the #1 spot in Germany list & Shopify took hold of top spot in Canada. A first timer in Glassdoor awards, Microsoft has been ranked #1 as Best places to work in 2017 in France.
