Xiaomi seems to be on a launching spree. While company’s product portfolio is already wide, it has now launched another product — Mi Sports Bluetooth Headset. It comes with IPX4 rating, meaning it is waterproof and sweatproof.

The Mi Sports Bluetooth Headset has Bluetooth version 4.1. Further, it supports multi-point using which the device can be connected simultaneously with multiple devices and can also switch between devices easily.

As of the design, it has an in-ear design with a loop to ensure a firm fit and to keep it wrapped around the users’ ears even when they are running or working out.

The headset comes with Built-in MEMS microphone for clean and clear audio output. The on-ear plug comes with controls which can be used to adjust volume and an in-line button to accept incoming calls.

It is quite light in weight at around 17.8 grams. At such light weight, it can be comfortable even while prolonged usage. It packs a 110mAh battery, which the company claims can provide up to 7 hours of usage on a single charge. It offers a standby time of up to 11 days and supports fast charging that can provide 1 hour of music playback in 10 minutes of charge.

Xiaomi further claims that the headset has been tested to work in extreme environments and is operational in temperatures between 20-degree Celsius to 70-degree Celsius.

With the purchase of the headset, Xiaomi provides five different additionally ear buds in various sizes and shapes, which it says provide distinct functionalities.

The Xiaomi Mi Sports Bluetooth Headset will sell in China at 149 yuan (approx. Rs 1,500) starting from November 11. Just like most other products by the company, it will be available only in China at the moment, but we doubt if it will launch in other countries anytime soon.
