Asustek Computer Inc. better known as ASUS, has released some fresh stats on its hold over the PC gaming market. The Taiwanese multinational has announced, that its overall market share in the high-end gaming monitors has reached 40 percent.

The company stated in a press release,

Asus was one of the earliest gaming monitor brand vendors in the industry. Asus, continue to see growth in 2016 with gaming models spanning 10-15% of the volume.

The company’s 40 percent market share accounts for the 800,000 units that were shipped in 2015 across the world. Further confirming its achievement, the computer hardware and electronics company has received five award at the CES 2016 held earlier this month.  ASUS also bagged the CES Innovation Award for its 34 inch LCD gaming Monitor scheduled for launch in next quarter of 2016.

From launching liquid cooled laptops to offering a mammoth 34 –inch gaming monitors for the gaming addicts, ASUS has literally gone up the notch.

The monitor, named as the ROG Swift PG348Q is priced anywhere between INR 1.2 to 1.5 lakhs and comes with curved Ultra-Wide Quad HD 3440 x 1440-resolution IPS display, the company stated. The monitor has an impressive 21:9 aspect ratio and has a built-in NVIDIA G-SYNC™ technology.

The company had made the headlines by launching a liquid cooled laptop meant solely for gaming. The Asus GX700 series laptop comes with an external liquid cooled module that keeps the system from getting over heated. The company termed it the world’s first liquid-cooled notebook, which works even without the external module as well.

The external module takes the weight of the laptop to 8.4 kg. Considering its weight, Asus ships the laptop in a suitcase. It has a 17-inch display, and is powered by Intel Core i7 processor and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 graphics card.

This laptop also comes with the Nvidia G-Sync technology, which ensures that frame rates are not lagging while playing graphic rich games.
