Thinkcell Learning Solutions, formerly known as the more popular ‘GateForum’, has announced that it has acquired e-learning company Enabilon Learning, which offers test preparation packages through Testfunda.com.
TestFunda.com is claiming to be the national leader in online aptitude test preparation focusing on MBA & Bank test prep market. It has a strong technology focus – online, android app & analytics backed by more than 6 lac registered users and over 250 institutional partners.
Thinkcell, which was formerly known as GateForum, has also announced that it will invest around Rs. 30 crore over the course of next 2 years for the diversification, which will include acquisitions as well as growing the current business.
Commenting about the acquisition, Mohit Goel, CEO & MD of Thinkcell, said,
The acquisition of Testfunda.com is a strategic move on our part. TestFunda’s robust technology platform will now be used to create synergies for our existing divisions in the online space and provide scale. At the same time, it enables us to diversify our domain to include MBA entrance, Bank entrance and UPSC.
The company was founded in 2008 and prepares students for CAT, XAT, IIFT, CMAT, NMAT, SNAP for a management career post an MBA from IIMS, XLRI, SP Jain, Symbiosis, and other leading B schools in the country.
Earlier this month, Thinkcell acquired YUKTI brand in order to kickstart its 8-12 science division, with the primary focus being the 12th Board exams and Engineering and Medical Entrance exams like JEE, MHT-CET and AIPMT.
To facilitate Indian students on taking international entrance and professional licensing exams viz., GRE, GMAT, SAT, ACT, USMLE, NBDE, NCLEX, TOEFL and IELTS, the company has also recently entered into exclusive partnership with KAPLAN for the in-person programs.
ThinkCell is currently present in over 65 cities of India and claims to have trained more than 1,50,000 students since its inception. With this acquisition, the company has now been structured into 4 verticals namely – GATEFORUM, YUKTI, Logiquest (Kaplan Certified Education Partner) and Testfunda.com.
