The latest addition to Xiaomi’s popular Mi 9 family – Mi 9T – has made its debut in Spain. At a starting price of €329 (around $372), Mi 9T comes loaded with dozens of features.

The smartphone features a 6.39-inch AMOLED true full screen display. The screen supports Reading mode as well as Sunlight mode 2.0. It has received a low-blue-light eye protection certification by Germany’s VDE Testing and Certification Institute. That means now users can spend more time on the phone without causing much trouble to their eyes. The device comes with a pop-up selfie camera and 7th-gen in-screen fingerprint sensor to provide a full screen display.

The Mi9T sports a a unique flame design on its four-sided curved glass back which, Xiaomi sayas, has been created using nano-holographic techniques.

As far as performance is concerned, the phone features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 processor – an octa-core KryoTM 470 chip processor based on the 8nm process. It provides an increased 35% CPU performance and increased 10% GPU performance. It comes with 4th gen AI engine. The processor delivers twice AI performance and extreme power efficiency.

Mi 9T has something for gamers too. It has the new Game Turbo 2.0 for an ultimate gaming experience. With Game Turbo 2.0 the touch response goes up to 180Hz and click and touch response delays are lowered to 70 ms.

What makes this phone special is its rear and front cameras. Though pop-up cameras are not new, Mi claims to be making them better with AI. The device has a 20MP front camera with a sapphire glass cover which when raised is accompanied by some lighting effects as well as sound effects. One can click group selfies using panorama mode to ensure that no friend is left out of frame.

The rear camera is a combination of three cameras. The main one is an AI powered 48MP with a 1/2″ Sony flagship IMX 582 sensor. It features some of the best tech available for capturing images in low-light conditions. The other two lenses are a a 13MP ultra wide-angle lens and an 8MP telephoto lens. The 13MP lens has a a 124.8 degree field of view and the combination of these three lenses produce ultra-high resolution photos. These lenses ensure that no details are missed out.

Apart from this, Mi 9T features a 4000mAh battery which can survive a day of heavy use and also provides a rich sound experience with its 1217SLS speakers, Smart PA and a 0.9cc large sound chamber. It comes with a 3.5mm audio jack. Both, the 64GB and the 128GB versions, will be powered by a powerful 6GB RAM.

Currently, Mi 9T will be available in two colors – Carbon Black and Glacier Blue for 6GB + 64GB version from 17th June in Spain. Xiaomi said its planning to launch the third color variant, Flame Red and a 6GB + 128GB version in Spain within next few weeks.
