After launching the entry-level Moto C smartphone in India, the Lenovo-owned smartphone company — Motorola, is now all set to launch Moto C Plus in India.
The company has sent out press invites for the launch event scheduled for June 19. Motorola is expected to launch the dual-SIM 4G VoLTE variant of Moto C Plus in India. The smartphone was originally launched along with Moto C in Latin America, Europe, and Asia Pacific.
The Moto C Plus was launched for a price starting at €119 (approximately $133), so we are expecting it to launch under ₹9,000 price bracket. Also, just like the Moto C, this one too is expected to be available for offline retail.
It is expected to be available in same four colors that we saw for Moto C — Metallic Cherry, Pearl White, Fine Gold, and Starry Black. We’ll know for sure next week on Monday, June 19.
The Moto C Plus sports a 5-inch display just like Moto C, but with an HD resolution (720 x 1280 pixels) instead of FWVGA. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 64-bit processor with Mali-T720 GPU coupled with 1GB or 2GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage. The storage is expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card.
The is an 8MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash, and a front camera is of 2MP with f/2.8 aperture. The phone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operation system out-of-the-box and is powered by a 2,350mAh battery.
Motorola’s invite for June 27 global event has also been spotted online, and it seems that the company is gearing up to launch a new Moto Z2 flagship smartphone, with a rear dual-camera setup.
The company has recently launched the Moto Z2 Play smartphone in India at price of ₹27,999. It also supports Moto Mods, which can be attached to the back of the smartphone for additional features or functionalities.
