redmi 4x, Xiaomi

Along with Mi 5c, Xiaomi had announced Redmi 4X smartphone a couple of months back. Now, the company has launched a brand new variant of the smartphone which comes with 4GB of RAM.

Earlier, the phone was launched in two variants — 2GB RAM with 16GB internal storage, and 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage. The newly launched variant has 4GB RAM and comes with 64GB of internal storage.

Apart from the memory upgrade, rest of the specs and features remain the same. There’s a 5-inch HD display with 2.5D glass on top. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 435 chipset and a 4,100mAh battery which is said to offer two days of backup on a single charge.

It also has an option to expand the memory up to 128GB via microSD card. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS with MIUI 8 on top. There is a 13 MP rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture, 5P lens, PDAF and LED flash; and a 5 MP front camera with an f/2.2 aperture.

The smartphone has a fingerprint scanner placed on its back panel. It also packs an Infrared sensor as well. As for connectivity, the phone offers Hybrid Dual SIM, 4G LTE, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, and a microUSB port. The handset measures 139.24 × 69.94 × 8.65 mm and weighs 150 grams.

The new 4GB variant of the Redmi 4X smartphone is priced at 1,099 Yuan which is approximately ₹10,227. It will go on sale from May 9 and will be available in Cherry Pink, Champagne Gold, and Matte Black colors.
