Apple’s WWDC event is right around the corner fellows and like every year, the turnout is expected to be quite significant. The company has announced that it has opened up a lottery to chose the devs lucky enough to be visiting this year’s conference.
The WWDC has traditionally been one of the greatest crowd pullers around. Despite tickets costing upwards of $1,500 ($1,599 to h3 exact) the number of applicants is so high that Apple has to go with a lottery to decide who will and who won’t be allowed at the event. The lottery is now open and you can submit your names for a chance at being allowed to shell out 1,600 or so dollars.
To be fair, the event is probably worth it. Along with new insights into Apple products, attendees also get to the chance to get into conversation and guidance sessions with Apple engineers and product developers. The company also usually releases some information about its latest operating systems. You now have until March 31 at 10 AM PDT to apply. Apple will also ask you for a credit card number and your card will be charged if you are selected. So, err….just make sure you actually want to go before you decide to enter your name.
And there is an all new code of conduct for the event as well:

Meanwhile, Apple has already announced the fact that it is moving the conference to San Jose from San Francisco. The latter has become far too expensive and Apple hopes that the new location will be more convenient to the developers. We already know that it will be easier for Apple employees and engineers participating in the event as it is much closer to Apple HQ as compared to SF.
