Nokia has created quite a buzz for the upcoming MWC conference with a handful of smartphones available for launch. Nokia is expected to deliver some significant announcements on 26th February at HMD global’s official event.

To clarify the details, designing and building of new Nokia smartphones is no longer an in-house operation. Finnish hardware giant HMD Global now holds exclusive branding rights for Nokia and is responsible for marketing the devices. While we have already detailed Nokia’s plan for everybody’s all time favorite Nokia 3310, here are the leaked specs for other possible launches — Nokia 3 and Nokia 5.

Nokia 3

  • 1.4 GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 425 Processor
  • Adreno 308 GPU
  • 2 GB RAM
  • Android Nougat 7.0
  • 5.2 / 5.3-inch, 720p display
  • 16 GB internal storage
  • 13 MP Rear camera
  • 5 MP Front facing camera

The phone’s cost will range around  €149 and it will be available in the major market by March end. One of the most interesting aspects of upcoming Nokia phones is the fact that it now runs Android. The pricing hints towards a budget device which targets Nokia’s usual market — the middle class and the lower-middle class.

Along with Nokia 3, the company might release yet another budget smartphone, Nokia 5. The phone will retail at €199 and will also become widely available across markets by March end. But, the smartphone holds an upper hand in terms of specification over Nokia 3, so the extra bucks.

Nokia 5

  • 1.4 GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 430 Processor
  • Adreno 505 GPU
  • 2 GB RAM
  • Android Nougat 7.0
  • 5.2-inch, 720p display
  • 16 GB internal storage
  • 13 MP Rear camera
  • 8 MP Front facing camera

MWC is a vital event for Nokia as the company aims to revive its brand through the event. Apart from the aforementioned budget phones, the rumor mill suggests that it will also release a high-end smartphone ‘Nokia P1’ as well. The phone will sport better camera features and will certainly come equipped with the latest Android version.

The iconic brand has currently only launched its devices in China and is planning to re-enter India with Nokia 6, this April. The phone which vanished in just a minute during its first flash sale is expected to be priced around Rs. 16,000 in India. If it falls under the sub-16k category, it will be a tough competitor to the likes of Xiaomi and Coolpad.
