Among all the other invites for MWC 2017, Samsung’s invitation was the most obscure. The invitation outlined launch of a brand new tablet, likely to be Samsung Galaxy Tab S3. With no phones to debut at the grand event, Samsung’s new tablet has gained massive fame credits to the rumors and leaks. Although we were able to gather some specs for S3, recent reports reveal images for the tab showing off the aesthetics for the device.
One of the most significant features the image exhibits is the inclusion of S Pen. Though there has been no space provided to inject the S Pen in the tab, it is identical to one assisting the Galaxy Note. The image further reveals the sleek and slim design of the tab equipped with a home button at the center. The image hints roll out of a single tab, however, two distinct models of Galaxy Tab S3 were spotted on FCC’s website.
It is highly likely that the only difference between the two models would be of WiFi (SM-T825) and LTE (SM-T820) connectivity. The Tab is said to pack a 9.6-inch (2048 x 1536 pixel) display and the Snapdragon 820 processor. The said processor means that it should fall in the mid to high segment of Samsung devices.
Moreover, it will sport 4GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. It is suspected to have a 12MP rear camera and 4.7MP front-facing camera. The image reveals a black color variant of the device, other colors to release include white and silver as well. The Tab S3 is expected to cost about $580 for the Wi-Fi support. The one supporting LTE connectivity might come out at the upper end. The exact specifications will only be revealed at MWC 2017. As we draw closer to the event, the leaks might prove to be identical, though.
Moreover, as the iPad sector registered a huge decline in demand; it could be in Samsung’s interest to capitalize on the market with a new, engaging tablet of its own. But, we cannot predict if it will be a success or not.
