RoomCentral, a hotel-tech startup which provides cloud based hotel booking engine, has announced closure of a $2 million in angel funding from angel investor Karanpal Singh, MD of Nameh chain of hotels in Delhi, Goa, and Odisha.

Founded by Atul Prabhu and Rupam Mazumdar in 2011, RoomCentral is a booking engine and a cloud-based property management system (PMS) that offers property owners tools and solutions for seamless reservation and property management. Pretty much like a CRM for hotel industry.

The company helps businesses to sell more rooms, while providing their guests with a more transparent and tailor made travel experience. It has a team of 16 members. Currently, RoomCentral has presence in 50 properties across Delhi and Southern India, which have an inventory of 25 rooms per property.

It’s cloud platform features Booking engine which enables real-time booking, Front Desk which provides all front-desk related activities in single screen, Housekeeping, which has easy to use module and room management & assignment, and Point of Sale, which is a fully featured module integrated with billing.

The starter pack from RoomCentral is free for users who have to manage less than 20 rooms while the Lite pack is priced at Rs. 99 per month which supports unlimited rooms and unlimited users. However, the company is charging additionally for premium add-ons.

Atul Prabhu, co-founder and CEO of the company, said,

We are providing a PMS system apart from an end to end service to sell, manage and distribute room inventory in real-time by unifying all the property’s functions on a single, easy to use interface.
