RedPolka, an online platform which lists curated women’s fashion and lifestyle designs from various brand partners and designers, has scooped in a $250K seed round from a group of five investors, to expand into the smartphone domain with a mobile app.
RedPolka, founded in February 2015, helps women in their designing woes by listing a curated set of designs for numerous categories. These range from clothing to decor, and from accessories to even kids related stuff. All in all, RedPolka aims to become the one stop solution for all sorts of designing woes faced by women.
RedPolka’s team of Fashion Curators showcase niche, crafted products under a weekly theme. The startup believes that this would help fashion and lifestyle brands to get discovered by a large community of discerning shoppers.
The platform is currently only web-based, with a mobile app debuting pretty soon. RedPolka currently lists designs in categories such as Clothing, Accessories, Drink and Dine, Home Decor and Kids.
While RedPolka is a relatively new player in curated fashion space, the domain has seen decent amount of interest from both investors as well as entrepreneurs. Social discovery platform Limeroad, which focuses on women fashion and lifestyle, recently raised a staggering $30 Million round led by Tiger Global. The domain also saw other smaller, yet decent investments in the form of recent cash-pumping to the tune of $5 Million by Helion Ventures and Tiger Global into Wooplr and Roposo respectively.
