Round One, an automated, online job referral startup, has grabbed an undisclosed angel round from numerous investors, which include HT Media (owners of Shine.com) and Arun Duggal (Board member of Naukri.com parent, InfoEdge).
While job search and referral services aren’t new to India, RoundOne claims to have a different approach. The startup says, it has a first-of-its-kind, fully-automated job referral service that connects jobseekers with relevant company insiders for jobs of their choice.
Round One arranges a phone interaction between the jobseeker and the company insider and if deemed fit, the jobseeker is internally referred for the job. The company further claims that job-seekers are 10 times more likely to receive an interview than users of traditional job portals.

The startup currently claims to have over 2 million registered jobseekers on its platform, with job listings from over 2,500 companies.
