While it is highly uncharacteristic for competitive events (yes, we have TP Pitch-Off coming up !) to write about each other, still, there are some which deserve due mention. One such event is being organised by online angel fund-raising platform LetsVenture. It has launched a new program named LetsIgnite, an angel summit to connect start-ups to the angel eco-system and to solve early stage investment problem faced by many entrepreneur.

In the LetsIgnite Summit, the major highlight would be its “LetsIgnite Startup Competition” in which 30 startups will be shortlisted from all the startups for further round. Then, through a process of voting by Angel Investors, 5 startups will be selected which will get chance to pitch their startup for live funding in front of jury and VCs.

Apart from competition, the summit will also highlight the angel investment trends, best practices for angel ecosystem and global prospective of angel investment.

The first LetsIgnite summit is scheduled on 22nd April 2015 at Bangalore. If you are an investor and interested in attending the summit, you can request for an invite.

Speaking about this initiative, Shanti Mohan, Founder and CEO of LetsVenture said,

The goal of LetsVenture has been to make startup funding easy. It is an initiative to continue to make a difference – hence the event is highly curated both for angel investors and startups as we want to make meaningful introductions for investors and startups. Investors have the opportunity to meet people from non-overlapping networks and create relationships with other angel investors, as well as meet some great entrepreneurs who are raising their angel round. Startups raising 1-4 crore would be shortlisted, which makes this a ‘serious’ angel event.

LetsVenture is a unique online angel funding platform which helps start-ups to get their angel round from investors. It was founded in 2013 by Shanti Mohan and Sanjay Jha. The company has seen 23 deals worth $6.5 million and 4900+ connections were made across its platform last year
