Xbox India Fans – Rejoice ! Microsoft has just announced a significant price cut for all variants of Xbox 360, with the gaming console now starting at just Rs. 12,990. This marks a Rs. 3000 price cut to the 4 GB (without Kinect) model.

4GB Xbox 360 with Kinect will be available at Rs 21,990as compared to its earlier retail price of Rs 26,990)Other Xbox 360 models also got a price cut, with the 250GB Xbox 360 with Kinect now selling at Rs 29,990 as compared to the previous Rs 31,990.

Apart from announcing price cuts on the above mentioned models, Microsoft also launched the 500 Gb variant of Xbox 360. You can get the 500 GB console for Rs 19,990. Microsoft is also giving out a special promotion offer under which the 500GB Xbox 360 bundle would include two games – Call of Duty: Black Ops II and Call of Duty: Ghosts and a one-month Xbox Live Gold membership.

Microsoft’s price cuts are clearly initiated due to rival Sony’s aggressive pricing strategies. Sony’s PlayStation, which has been outselling Microsoft’s Xbox One and Xbox 360 models, is available in India at Rs 16,600 (for 312 GB model) and Rs 20,990 (for 500 GB model).

Microsoft’s Xbox One, the latest iteration to its Xbox gaming consoles also retails in India, exclusively at Amazon. The next-gen Xbox console was announced in September last year, almost a year after it was launched in the US markets.
