Though we are well aware as to how rapidly Indians have been adapting to e-retailing, but this was further re-affirmed by Google’s recently released search trends. Flipkart and Snapdeal have become the 2nd and 4th most searched terms in India respectively, followed by rival Amazon at 10th.
IRCTC was once again the most sough after term in India, as far as Google Searches are concerned. Here’s the complete top 10 list of the most searched in India, for the year 2014 :
Flipkart, Snapdeal and Amazon have all been in news for a variety of reasons. While all three of them raised huge fundings this year (with Amazon getting grants from its U.S. parent company), Flipkart was also in news due to its much-hyped, yet disappointing Big Billion Day sale.
Presence of Times of India in that top searches list (though at a lowly 9th spot) also shows how Indians are increasingly adapting to digital forms of media, rather than going through Newspapers. We’ll update you with many more interesting results from Google’s Search trend for India. Stay Tuned.

Snapdeal still need to mature in terms of service qualities.
Even after GOSF, sites are filled with consumer complaints that the
orders with GOSF pricing are getting cancelled even when the same
products are available for fresh purchase at double the rate means stock
are still available to cater new orders. News websites are also showing just how successful the ecommerce have been in attracting customers but the bitter part of it is that it was partially cheating on these websites where they allowed customers to place orders and now due to financial reasons, they cannot honour it, so cancel those orders even if the product is available for fresh purchase at double the GOSF prices. obviously, they can’t ask Ratan Tata for money everytime :) so normal public have to contribute to the financial success of these companies.
