HTC today pulled off the wraps from its Desire EYE smartphone in India. Although the price of the phone wasn’t revealed, HTC confirmed that the device will be exclusively available through Amazon India.
Lately, many device manufacturers have been avoiding Flipkart for their exclusive selling partnerships. This can be attributed to Flipkart’s recent near-debacle stints of Big Billion Day sale and the repeated server crashes, which it had in the past (memories of Xiaomi’s Mi3 launch are still afresh).
Coming to Desire EYE, it flaunts a 5.2-inch full HD 1080p display and is powered by a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. The device’s highlight is the massive 13 Megapixel front camera, with dual LED flash, making it the best “selfie” phone, amongst all other competitors.
The phone comes with a 2400mAH battery and 16 GB of in-built memory which can be further expanded with the help of external memory card slot. The device is resistant to water and dust, as it bears the IPX7 certification.
