Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 is definitely close to launch. First the device was spotted at FCC and not long after that at China’s Certification Center (Chinese equivalent of FCC).
Then a few days ago Galaxy Mega’s alleged specifications leaked and revealed the internals of the Samsung’s budget-friendly phablet.
But it appears that the unannounced Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 has gone on sale in Malaysia by the authorized retailer, Sen Heng , who has listed the phablet as available. This listing more or less confirms previously leaked specifications.
According to the listing, Galaxy Mega 2 will sport a 1.5GHz quad-core processor and will have a 6-inch 720p (1280 x 720) TFT display along with 1.5GB of RAM with 8GB of internal storage (expandable via MicroSD card) and an 8-megapixel rear-facing shooter. SenHeng says the device is available in black and white colors and Android 4.4 KitKat comes pre-installed. The device is priced at RM1,299, which is about $411.
It has to be noted that the company hasn’t officially announced the Mega 2 yet, so the listing might actually be a blunder on the retailer’s part.
