Harley-Davidson has reinstated the production and delivery of LiveWire, its first electric motorcycle line, after fixing a charging related issue which it discovered last week.
The production of the electric vehicle was halted earlier these week as company determined a “non-standard condition” in their production. Though, they didn’t recall any of the already sold bikes, they stopped the production and resumed additional testing and analysis with their bikes.
However, now since the issue has been resolved, the customers may once again begin to charge their $29,799, 105 horsepower electric motorcycle at home.
Harley-Davidson has not revealed the actual problem which caused the issue.
A spokesperson for Harley said;
Temporarily stopping LiveWire production allowed us to confirm that the non-standard condition identified on one motorcycle was a singular occurrence. We take pride in our rigorous quality assurance measures and our drive to deliver the world’s best motorcycles.
The production of the motorcycle ceased right after its deliveries began to ramp up. LiveWire is the first installment of Electric Vehicles from Harley-Davidson, and is expected to be followed a vein of lesser expensive electric motor bikes, bicycles and scooters.
