Huawei Technologies said on Friday that it has shipped 100 million smartphones this year as of May 30.
He Gang, the president of Huawei consumer business group’s smartphone product line, unveiled the numbers at an event for launch of its new Nova 5 phone in Wuhan, China.
Huawei’s supply chain has been slapped by distressing regulations ordered by Washington, which threatens it to cripple its distribution network.
Founder and chief executive Ren Zhengfei said on Monday the ban may result fall in its revenue by $30 billion this year. Smartphone sales outside China already reduced 40 percent in the past month, he said.
