Just couple of weeks ahead of the launch of the next-generation Pixel series smartphones, Google has slashed the price of its Pixel 2 XL smartphone in the Indian market.

The base variant of the Pixel 2 XL is now available for Rs. 45,499. Prior to the price cut, the device was selling at Rs 73,000, which means that it has got a price cut of Rs 27,501 or 40 percent.

The 128GB storage model is still selling at the Rs 82,000. The Pixel 2, which is the smaller variant, has also not received any price cut yet. But we speculate that all the models will get a price cut ahead of the Pixel 3 launch next month.

The Pixel 2 XL has a 6-inch QHD+ display with 1440 x 2880 pixels resolution with 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, coupled with 4GB of RAM and there are two storage options — 64GB and 128GB.

For imaging, the device comes with a single rear 12.2-megapixel camera with an f/1.8 aperture, OIS and EIS. On the front, there’s an 8-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture.

It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box, but has already received the latest Android update and now runs on Android 9.0 Pie. The phone supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ GLONASS and is powered by a 3,520mAh battery.
