Samsung has finally announced the Galaxy A7, which is the company’s first smartphone to feature a triple rear camera setup. The device will come in four color options — blue, black, gold and pink and will be available in select European and Asian markets in the coming fall season. However, Samsung has not revealed the pricing details as of yet.
The smartphone features a 6-inch Super AMOLED Infinity Display and is powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz. However, Samsung has not specified whether the device packs a Snapdragon processor or the homegrown Exynos setup.
The device comes in three models — 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, 4GB RAM with 128GB storage and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage. There’s also a microSD card slot for expanding the storage up to 512GB.
Interestingly, the device sports a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, placed right inside the power button.
Coming to the camera, as said, A7 comes with a triple-camera setup on the back, featuring a 24MP primary sensor, an 8MP Ultra-Wide angle lens with 120-degree field of view and a 5MP lens to capture depth information. On the front side, there’s 24MP snapper for taking selfies.Phew! That’s quite a lot of camera power packed into a single smartphone.
The phone supports Dual SIM, 4G LTE Cat.6, 2CA, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth v5.0 (LE up to 2Mbps), ANT+, USB Type-B, NFC(optional), GPS, and Glonass. The device runs Android 8.0 Oreo on top of Samsung’s own custom user interface and packs a 3,300mAh battery.
More details to follow soon!
