A one-on-one with Saurabh Kumar, Founder of over a decade old, Fortune 500 studded marketing agency, Envigo

Today, the company partners with over 90 clients world-wide and has worked with more than 300+ brands so far, across 24 countries and 4 continents. Its clients range from Fortune 500 giants to nimble start-ups.

SO without further ado, meet Saurabh Kumar, the man behind Envigo.

Saurabh, tell us about the company, what is the unique solution that you are offering your customers?

Saurabh : Envigo,is a full service digital marketing agency, known for delivering out-of-the-box, performance based marketing strategies in the marketing and technology domain with footprint in India and UK.

Envigo was founded in 2007 and since then grown leaps and bounds interms of clients, employees and reach. Today, the company partners with over 90 clients world-wide and has worked with more than 300+ brands so far, across 24 countries and 4 continents. Its clients range from Fortune 500 giants to nimble start-ups.

Envigo’s solutions are crafted on deep understanding of client’s goals, environment, business model and customers. It delivers innovative campaigns through an integration of SEO, design and development, content creation and social media. It also provides advisory and consulting services for online marketing, product development and web analytics.

We already have a strong expertise in delivering solutions for hospitality, BFSI, travel, e-Commerce, FMCG and pharmaceutical sectors. Select clients include Hertz, AIG, ITC Hotels, Thirftly, Citibank, BIBA, Thomas Cook, Jet Airways, IXIGO, GlaxoSmithKline, Britannia ,IndusInd Bank to name a few.

What is your focus area? There are other players too in this space, so how do you differentiate yourselves from your competition?

Automation and data analytics is our focus areas. We have created a cloud based SaaS solution which can automate various kinds of tasks and can be applied to a number of Industries/verticals. We now have a full-fledged product which is being used in functions like finance, manufacturing and in-house.

We expertise in customising a 360-degree approach across multiple digital and social media platforms, deep understanding of implementation of new age tools, like marketing automation solutions and workflow automation, and domain experience .

Our clients appoint us not only because of the impressive credentials that we hold, but also the deep understanding of their sector, business model, environment, purpose & ROI of the campaign and customers that the team brings to the table.

How digital agencies are poised to grow in this INR 20,000 crore industry?

Even though digital has always been a fast paced field, digital landscape has changed a lot in past 2 years. With the increasing use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data & Automation, digital economy is growing exponentially at breakneck speed. We are seeing a lot of use of AI in predictive and backward-facing analysis. All this presents big opportunities for digital agencies. ROI focussed agencies like Envigo is looking to implement Artificial Intelligence in programatic ads and personalisation for customers.

How Envigo is creating engagement across segment and customers across geographies?

At Envigo we understand that all the visitors are not in the same phase of buying cycle. Be it on web, mobile or any other channel a deep and evolving understanding of customers is required. Hence, capturing customer actions, actionable insights and creating cross platform user experience becomes prime focus. Once we gather enough information, we can target customers and capitalise by capturing micro moments. With use of advanced analytics, marketing automation, custom web and mobile solutions, we have been able to shift from Communication to Engagement Strategies which can be implemented on all connected devices.

What is your employee strength? Can you share with us your future plans?

Our team and our focus on building a great service for our customers is also our strength as is our product and technology that powers it. Currently we have well balanced team of 70+ employees. It’s always good to have a large tribe. We are always on a look-out for people who are as passionate and fun loving as we are.

What does Future hold for Envigo ?

Currently we have over 90 clients world-wide and have worked with more than 300+ brands so far, across 24 countries and 4 continents. We expect to add 10 to 15 more clients in the hospitality sector by the end of 2017.

One last, but certainly not the least question from you, what trends do you see across digital marketing sector and what are some new age tools which new-age companies can use to generate a better ROI ?

  • India’s digital sector is projected to cross INR 20,000 crore in the next three years from INR 8,490 crore at present.
  • Digital marketing is increasingly being leveraged for customer engagement (46%) and customer service (35%) in addition to driving brand awareness and lead generation/sales.
  • Digital marketing is increasingly eating into the share of print medium though print and television continue to rule the roost
    Richer audience engagement, inclusion of the rural consumer, automation and data analytics are going to be the focus areas for marketers in the next three years.
  • Digital media-spend is slated to be INR 18,500 crore by 2020, constituting a larger pie of the overall media spends
  • The big spenders on digital media:
    • E-commerce is the biggest spender accounting for 19% or INR 1,309 crore of the total digital spends
    • Next is FMCG, which accounts for 14% (INR 935 crore)
    • Telecom (12%) and BFSI (11%) follow
    • The other significant contributors are consumer durables (9 %), automotive sector (8%), media & entertainment (8 %) and retail (6 %)
