We’re only a single day away from the release of the next flagship killer — the OnePlus 5. But, the Chinese smartphone maker has no patience and has shown off the device in all its glory in a television commercial during yesterday’s India versus Pakistan ICC Champions Trophy 2017 final match. The phone will see a global unveiling on June 20, with an exclusive India launch event on June 22.

If you’ve been watching the final cricket match, which is an unreasonable question to ask, then you’d have caught a fist glimpse at the upcoming OnePlus 5 through a strategically placed TV advert. The commercial stars the company’s brand ambassador, Amitabh Bachchan, who is seen opening a casket and being amazed at the device placed inside the same.

While we were expecting this to be just another teaser, the OnePlus 5 rolled onto the screen in all its glory. And it confirmed some of the most intriguing details of the device, which were speculations until date. Find the OnePlus 5 attached underneath:

As for the speculated specifications, the OnePlus 5 will sport a 5.5-inch QuadHD display, which as seen above won’t be bezel-less. It will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest and greatest Snapdragon 835 processor, making it the first device with such processing power to be debuted in the country. It has also partnered with DxO Mark to place extreme focus on its dual-lens rear camera setup, which the company’s CEO has been showing off on his Twitter feed.

A recent leak has already uncovered the India pricing of the OnePlus 5. And they are massively lower than we had initially been expecting. The pricing table attached underneath shows that the 6GB/64GB low-end variant of the device will cost you ₹32,999 (approx $510) while the 8GB/128GB high-end variant will cost ₹37,999 (approx $590). It has already bagged close to 5.75 lakh registrations for the flagship killer on JD.com in China.

Being one of the most anticipated smartphones of the year, the rumor mill has been buzzing with leaks while the Twitterati’s been dragging the device for looking like an iPhone 7 imitation. The talks about the same have, however, been pushed to the curb by the company’s co-founder Pete Lau. He stated that OnePlus 2 faced the same criticism but people forgot about the design once the phone went official. The same will be the case with OnePlus 5, says Lau.
