Apple has launched a new, extended repair program for its smart keyboards for iPad pro, under which customers who experience issues with their Keyboards, can bring them in and receive replacements or repairs depending upon the severity of the problem. What’s more, this offer shall extend for a period of three years after the device is first purchased.

The Cupertino giant has acquainted its retail staff of the same through an internal memo. The program covers Smart Keyboards for both the 9.7 inch and the 12.9 inch models. However, it is limited to certain functional issues so don’t expect a new one if you break it into two pieces by sitting down on its or something.

However, if your problem includes sticking/repeating keys, sensor issues, problems with the keyboard’s magnetic connector, connection issues, and unresponsive keys, well, Apple has you covered for at least three years from when you first purchased your device.

Apple already has a program in place for hardware replacements and the like. However, that particular program has a time limit of merely 12 months whereas the new scheme extends it to 36 months. The company has also decided to refund customers who had previously paid for a replacement keyboard, when the keyboard in question was eligible for free replacement under the terms of the new program.

Talk about good service, eh?
