After witnessing the massive popularity of Galaxy C7 Pro in China, Samsung has now launched a slightly different Galaxy C5 Pro. The handset will begin shipping from March 16, however, the company has started accepting pre-orders on Samsung’s Chinese website. The device priced approximately at $360 (CNY 2499) is still to floor other regions as of now.

Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro is available in three colours just like the C7 Pro cousin— Lake Blue, Maple Leaf, and Powder Rose. The device is a smaller variant of the C7 Pro packed in a metal unibody with antenna bands. The phone is equipped with volume buttons placed at the left along with a power button fixed on the right edge of the device. The phone’s bottom panel holds the speaker grille, the USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack while the camera is furnished on the rear panel. A fingerprint sensor is also embedded within the home button of the phone.

The dual sim phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow powered by Snapdragon 625 octa-core Cortex-A53 chipset clocked at 2.2GHz. Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro features a 5.2-inch full-HD super AMOLED display with 1080×1920 pixels of resolution. The handset comes with 4GB of RAM offering 64GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 256GB via microSD slot.

For a mid-budget phone, the phone offers exceptional camera features sporting a 16-megapixel rear and front camera. The rear camera is inclusive of f/1.9 aperture and flash support while the front camera holds the capability of capturing videos at 1080p at 30fps. Along with excelling in the camera department, the phone packs a 2600mAh battery that lasts up to 296 hours of standby time.

The phone is supported with all needed connectivity traits including Bluetooth v4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, GPS, NFC, and 4G LTE. The device measures 145.7×71.4x7mm weighing just 145 gms. The company has placed its bets on device’s inbuilt sensors which include an acceleration sensor, fingerprint reader (underneath the Home Button), gyroscope, magnetometer, proximity sensor, and RGB light sensor.There are no details on availability and pricing for the device in India. However, considering the massive smartphone market, it may soon land here.
