gmail, google

So for some obscure reason you are sending a video to a buddy. There are better alternatives but, you are so caught up in the charm of e-mail, that you decide to send it as an attachment. You pop into your gmail all fired up to send it but alas, the video exceeds the 25 MB limit put up by Google. Well, no longer.

According to Gmail customer support, Gmail will allow you to send attachments that are up to 50 MBs in size. Although it beats me why anyone would want to send that much of data through mail. Google Drive and a link allowing them to view and edit the folder would probably be a much better idea. However, if for some reason you must absolutely mail it, you can.

Gmail previously had a 25 MB limit over the size of attachments you could send. However, the company has upgraded it to 50. Considering that not many people really use e-mail to do this kind of thing, its not really that much of a news flash. However, I have been annoyed by the feature enough times in the past to take this opportunity to gloat just a little bit.

And you never really know. Who is to stop Google from makint it so that you could access mail from drive and vice-versa? Its all a big happy family after all and i even distinctly remember Google allowing you to use the search bar for look for files within drive.
