Samsung’s bet for MWC 2017 is placed on its freshly designed tablets, which it is bringing to the trade show in Barcelona. While Galaxy S8 is scheduled for launch in late March, the rumour mill has been buzzing with features of Samsung Galaxy Tab S3. Now, renowned tipster Evan Blass tweeted that the tab will include a new keyboard case, just like company’s previous releases.
The keyboard resembles the black and whites of the iPad Pro, which would be a chicklet-style keyboard for the tablet. The keyboard still looks and will probably feel quite similar to previous iterations — as the tablet is still rocking the usual design aesthetic. But, keys on the same are spread-out and offer mobility similar to that offered by Apple keyboards.

So far, we have been able to crack Samsung’s S Pen inclusion, an embedded fingerprint scanner in the home button, and a USB port Type-C. Moreover, leaked sources revealed that Tab S3 will be launched in two variants — one with Wi-Fi support while another with both Wi-Fi and LTE. However, some reports also suggest that Samsung plans to launch only the Wi-Fi version of the tab at MWC.
The Tab S3 is said to feature a 9.6-inch AMOLED display with 1536 x 2048 resolution powered by Snapdragon 820 chipset. Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 will have 4GB of RAM with 32GB or 128GB of internal storage, as cited by insider sources. The camera setup on Tab S3 will include a 12MP and 5MP rear and front lens respectively.
As per the present industry norms, the Korean giant obtained regulatory approval via Taiwan’s National Communication Propagation Committee for the release of this device. Samsung Tab S3 is expected to host the expected glass and metal build, as per leaked images.
This is possibly the best time for Samsung to debut an Android-powered tablet computer in the market when the popularity of iPads is on the decline. Recent reports say that Apple has taken over Samsung by shipping over shipping over 78 million iPhones, whereas the latter had to recall more than 2.5 million Galaxy Note 7 devices last year.
Also, The iPad Pro lineup is expected to release somewhere around March as well. It will be the probable rival for the upcoming tablet release from Samsung. If the tablet is equipped with all necessary consumer requirements then it might take on Google Chromebooks as well. These devices run on chrome OS but now offer support for Android Apps. While Chromebooks offer productivity to users, the Samsung tabs are high-end devices under the premium category.
