While other smartphone manufacturers have placed their bets on AI assistants, Chinese manufacturer ZTE is releasing a smartphone with ultrafast connectivity capabilities. The Gigabit phone will be launched at the MWC conference and will offer speeds of up to 1Gbps. Further, the phone is equipped with some improved and valuable features. Though the company has announced the amazing download speeds for the phone, it is still to shed light on other functionalities.
The phone reportedly named as ‘Gigabit phone’ is aptly provided by ZTE considering the amazing download rate for the device. Apart from the said feature, the smartphone is proficient of capturing 360-degree videos and creating panoramics. This is equipped with instant cloud storage as well.
While Qualcomm released the world’s first Gigabit LTE-capable chip last year, a gigabit LTE network piloted in Australia. However, ZTE is one of the first-ever carrier to support gigabit LTE. The feature will create a buzz in the commercial markets, especially within the internet-savvy generation.
ZTE will also support 5G, cloudification, and Internet of Things (IoT), which are aggressively gaining market share these days. The company is engaged in the development of these mentioned fields and will equip related features into future phones as well. Along with the launch of its Gigabit phone, the company is expected to roll out new devices under its Blade lineup.
Other Chinese players who’ve piqued our expectations for MWC include Huawei, Oppo, Lenovo/Moto and Alcatel as well. The companies have various phones lined up for launch at their respective scheduled events. Though we will try our best to gain certain leads on the phone releases ahead of the event.
There has been no news for ZTE’s separate event, hence it is being concluded that the Gigabit phone will be present at the company’s booth itself. The phone will offer a speed anticipated from a 5G wireless service and would crack a beneficial deal in terms of revenues. ZTE has further packed the device with entertainment upgrades and a fast cache for ultra Hi-Fi music and movies.
The exact specifications for the details will be revealed at the event only along with its availability and pricing details. The phone is expected to be a mid-range smartphone with sales initiating from China.
